We're looking for an experienced and practical leader to join us as Regional Team Lead for our orthotic and prosthetic services in Tauranga. This role requires a visible, hands-on leader who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation, building strong relationships with staff, and supporting teams to perform at their best.
You'll work closely with the Regional Manager to provide leadership across both centres, ensuring our people are supported, our services run smoothly, and our patients receive exceptional care.

About the role
As Regional Team Lead, you'll play a key role in the success of our Tauranga orthotic and prosthetic services. You'll provide leadership, coaching and support to a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a strong understanding of operational demands and priorities.
You'll be someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, understanding what is happening on the ground, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping teams work through challenges in a practical and constructive way.
We anticipate this role will ultimately be 0.6 FTE. However, our preference is for the successful candidate to work 0.8 FTE for approximately the first six months to allow time for a comprehensive orientation and induction into the team, our services, and our operations. We are flexible to discuss FTE with the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing visible leadership and support across our Tauranga centres.
Coaching, mentoring and developing staff to build capability and confidence.
Creating a positive, high-performing team culture where people feel supported and accountable.
Supporting the day-to-day operation of the region and helping remove barriers that impact service delivery.
Building strong relationships with clinicians, technicians, service coordinators and external stakeholders.
Working alongside the Regional Manager to deliver strategic priorities and business objectives.
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows and patient outcomes.
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and performance development.
Championing Peke Waihanga values and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
