We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotic Technician to join our Christchurch Team. This is a full time, permanent position.

We are a specialist healthcare provider that manufactures high technology medical devices, (mainly prosthetics and orthotics), for individual patients, with an integrated rehabilitation and coordination of care service.

Job Description

The Role:

As an Orthotic Technician, you’ll play a key part in helping people live more independent and active lives. Working closely with Orthotists, Prosthetists, and other members of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll:

· Collaborate with clinicians to turn prescriptions into functional, high-quality orthotic devices that meet individual patient needs

· Work as part of a supportive, skilled technical team that shares knowledge, ideas, and problem-solving approaches

· Contribute to innovation by exploring new materials, techniques, and technologies in orthotic fabrication

· Maintain a safe, well-organised, and efficient workshop environment

· Take pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring each device is comfortable, durable, and effective

· Be part of a workplace that values teamwork, respect, and continuous learning

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring

· Practical experience or strong interest in technical fabrication, ideally within orthotics, prosthetics, or a similar hands-on trade

· Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work that supports great outcomes for patients

· Ability to read and interpret technical instructions or prescriptions accurately

· Good problem-solving skills and adaptability when working with different tools, materials, and techniques

· A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

· Commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement, and professional development
