Job Description
As our service in the Canterbury region continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Orthotist to join our experienced and supportive team in Christchurch. In this role you will work alongside other prosthetist/orthotists, medical specialists, technicians, physios and other allied health professionals, and have an integral role in providing a world class service to our patients. The position involves seeing a range of patient presentations, both in clinic and hospital settings, and ideally also spending some time in the workshop, manufacturing and repairing orthotic devices.

Desired Skills and Experience
Alongside strong clinical skills, the ideal candidate for this role will have experience in the manufacture and repair of a range of orthotic devices and will enjoy supporting the workshop as needed, to ensure high quality orthotic devices are manufactured in a timely manner.
You will also have:
A broad range of experience in orthotics
An interest in working with patients with complex needs, both paediatric and adult
The ability to manage a varied and high caseload including a mix of clinic and hospital based
The skills and motivation to help further develop our service and improve health outcomes for our patients
We are seeking a team player who can equally contribute to and share responsibilities with others in the team, while sharing your broad knowledge and experience to support the ongoing professional development of other Orthotists.

Christchurch City is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. It is known as the "Garden City" because of its many beautiful parks, gardens and tree-lined streets.
Christchurch has been through some huge changes over recent years; you will find new architecture, bars, restaurants and theatres alongside some of the oldest buildings in New Zealand, and inner-city parks and gardens.
