We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Orthotist to work in our Hamilton Centre. This role involves working with diabetic and vascular patients, alongside a growing opportunity to support a wider cohort of complex orthotic patients. You will also attend regional clinics to ensure our ‘hard to reach‘ patients receive an equitable, high-quality service.
Job Description
The successful applicant will join a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team in our Hamilton Centre and develop strong connections with other health providers in the region. You will engage regularly with our national team of allied health professionals through collaboration calls, staff hui, workshops and other training events.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a team player who is solutions focussed with a positive outlook. You will have a passion for embracing technology and research to improve the patient experience and outcomes for patients; and a strong desire to continually improve processes and standards to gain operational efficiencies.
As Clinical Orthotist you will contribute directly to our 2024- 2028 strategy through prescribing orthotic devices appropriate to the patient’s needs and capabilities; providing a world class service to our patients
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A broad range of experience in orthotics and a passion for preserving the contralateral limb
Experience with and a passion for working with patients with complex needs, both paediatric and adult
The skills and motivation to help further develop our service and improve health outcomes for our patients
Excellent communications skills and ability to work as part of a highly skilled and motivated team
A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining your own professional development.
A degree in prosthetics and orthotics or equivalent, and relevant experience as a Prosthetist/Orthotist.
